Red clover, also known as meadow clover, not only looks beautiful and is popular with insects due to its sweet nectar… We can also eat red clover. It has received special attention since the discovery of isoflavonoids, it contains a lot of various phytoestrogens, Cumarines and phytohormones and is therefore used in women’s medicine for various hormone-dependent conditions.
I like eating red clover fresh or mixing it with my herbal teas.
Some believe that the four-leaf clover represents the four spokes of the Wheel of the Year and is therefore considered a symbol of good luck.

A nourishing skin oil with fresh red clover from the meadow and almond oil can be made in no time at all. The oil is quickly absorbed and it makes the skin silky soft. Red clover grows here in abundance and it can be used in many ways. As an oil extract, it is perfect as a massage oil and as a skin firming body oil.
You can use the red clover oil extract directly. But I mix my oil as follows, so it will last longer and the firming effect is enhanced:
Recipe for ca. 100 grams of body oil
– 99 grams of red clover oil extract in almond oil
– 2 grams of vitamin E oil (tocopherol)
– 1 gram organic grapefruit essential oil
I apply the red clover body oil to damp skin – for example, directly after bathing… Through the water forms an emulsion and the skin can absorb the oil easily.
